Pregnant Woman Miscarried After Being Kicked in Stomach During Dispute Over Pet Dog in Unnao; Police File FIR, SP Provides Financial Aid

A shocking incident has come to light from Unnao district in Uttar Pradesh, where a dispute over a pet dog led to a tragic miscarriage. The altercation occurred in Samadha village under the Purwa Assembly constituency when a neighbor’s son allegedly kicked a pregnant woman in the stomach during a quarrel, resulting in the loss of her unborn child.

According to reports, the victim, Gudia, was staying at her maternal home. She alleged that the neighbor’s dog had chased her sister, prompting her to scare it away with a stick. Enraged by this, the dog’s owner’s son stormed into their house and physically assaulted her sister. During the attack, he allegedly kicked Gudia in the abdomen, leading to her miscarriage.

SP Leaders Extend Support to the Victim
Following directives from Samajwadi Party (SP) National President Akhilesh Yadav, Unnao District President Rajesh Kumar Yadav, along with a party delegation, visited the victim’s family. They offered condolences and handed over a cheque of ₹50,000 as financial assistance. The SP leaders also urged the district administration and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to take strict action to prevent recurring incidents of violence against women, Dalits, and backward classes in the state.

Police Initiate Investigation
Station House Officer (SHO) of Asoha Police Station, Phool Singh, confirmed that an FIR has been lodged against the accused son of the dog owner based on the victim’s family’s complaint. He added that a detailed investigation into the matter is currently underway.

This disturbing case has sparked outrage in the local community, with demands for strict action against the accused and stronger enforcement to ensure women’s safety in rural areas.
