Jabalpur, November 2, 2025

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will inaugurate the “Samadhan Yojana 2025–26”, an initiative of the Energy Department, on Monday, November 3, at 10:00 AM from the MP Power Management Company’s Regional Office, E-4, Arera Colony, Bhopal. The scheme aims to provide substantial relief to electricity consumers with outstanding bills through attractive surcharge waivers and easy payment options.

Energy Minister Mr. Pradyumna Singh Tomar informed that under this special scheme, heavy concessions on delayed payment surcharges have been introduced, effective from November 3, 2025, to February 28, 2026.

The implementation will take place in two phases:

  • Phase 1 (November 3 to December 31, 2025): Consumers will receive a 60% to 100% waiver on surcharge amounts.
  • Phase 2 (January 1 to February 28, 2026): Surcharge waivers will range between 50% and 90%.

To encourage consumer participation, the government has introduced flexible payment options — offering maximum discounts for lump-sum payments and an easy installment facility of up to six monthly payments for convenience.

Energy Minister Tomar said the initiative reflects the state government’s commitment to helping consumers clear long-standing dues without financial burden while strengthening the financial health of the power sector.

The launch event will also be attended by Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) Mr. Neeraj Mandloi, Managing Director of MP Power Management Company Mr. Avinash Lavania, Managing Director of Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company Mr. Kshitij Singhal, along with other senior officials from the power companies.

The Samadhan Yojana 2025–26 is expected to bring significant relief to thousands of domestic, agricultural, and commercial consumers, marking another step toward the state’s goal of affordable and efficient power distribution.
