Bokaro Emerges as Epicenter of Fake Liquor Trade! Luxury Cars Like Audi, Safari, and Endeavour Used to Supply Booze to Bihar

Bokaro (Jharkhand): Bokaro district in Jharkhand has become a major hub for the production and supply of counterfeit foreign liquor. In a joint operation, the Jharkhand ATS, Bihar Prohibition Unit, and district police raided a large illegal factory manufacturing fake liquor. During the raid, 11 people were arrested, and items worth over ₹17 lakh were seized, including 1,563 liters of prepared liquor, 360 liters of spirit, two packing machines, and 13 luxury vehicles.

Fake Liquor Supplied to Bihar from Bokaro
According to SDPO P.K. Singh, the raid was conducted at the residence of one Gopal Singh in Nandua, where large-scale production and packaging of fake foreign liquor were underway. Several accused were caught red-handed. The police recovered a huge stock of liquor-making equipment, empty bottles, labels, and wrappers from the site.

Investigations revealed that the gang had been supplying counterfeit foreign liquor to multiple districts across Jharkhand and Bihar. The accused used cheap spirit, mixed it with artificial flavor and color, and sold it as expensive branded liquor in the market.

Luxury Cars Used for Smuggling
Despite Bihar’s liquor prohibition policy, the gang managed to maintain a steady supply of alcohol using luxury vehicles like Audi, Safari, and Endeavour. The arrested individuals have been identified as Saurabh Kumar Singh, Shivji Gupta, Ganesh Gorai, Ritesh Kumar Singh, Uttam Gorai, Sanjeev Kumar, Rohit Kumar, Bajrang Swarnkar, Vikas Kumar, Sunny Kumar, and Chandan Kumar Singh.

Main Kingpin Gopal Singh on the Run
The mastermind behind the racket, Gopal Singh, is currently absconding. Police have formed a special team to trace and arrest him. Further investigations are underway to identify other individuals involved in the illegal operation.

The joint operation was led by Chira Chas Police Station In-charge Chandan Kumar Dubey, with active coordination between the Jharkhand ATS and Bihar Prohibition Unit.
