MP Records Extreme Cold: Indore and Rajgarh Among Nation’s Coldest Plains, Kalyanpur Hits 6.9°C
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh is witnessing record-breaking cold this season, with several districts experiencing temperatures well below normal. Kalyanpur in Shahdol district recorded a chilling 6.9°C, making it the coldest location in the country’s plains. Indore and Rajgarh also reported low temperatures of 7°C, ranking among the coldest cities in India, while the state capital Bhopal recorded 8°C, placing it eighth nationally.
Severe Cold Wave Sweeps the StateThe past 24 hours have seen extreme cold envelop many districts in Madhya Pradesh. Indore registered 7°C, emerging as the coldest city in the plains, closely followed by Rajgarh at 7°C. Bhopal recorded a minimum of 8°C, experiencing a sharp drop in nighttime temperatures by nearly 7°C below normal.
