Patna: The Bihar Assembly Election 2025 has delivered an unexpected political twist in the Muslim-dominated Seemanchal region. As counting trends continue to unfold, the NDA appears to be sweeping the region—an outcome largely attributed to the vote-cutting impact of Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM.
According to early trends available till 11 AM, the NDA is leading on nearly 20 out of 24 Assembly seats in Seemanchal, a region traditionally considered a stronghold of the Mahagathbandhan. The swing in voter sentiment is being widely credited to the significant vote share AIMIM has managed to attract, denting the RJD–Congress alliance.
