Over 24 Lakh Names Likely to Be Removed from Voter List in Rajasthan: Major Verification Drive Underway

Jaipur:More than 24 lakh voters in Rajasthan may face deletion from the electoral rolls as the state undergoes a large-scale verification under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. The exercise, initiated on November 4 and continuing till December 4, is being conducted under the directives of the Election Commission of India. According to Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Naveen Mahajan, every voter’s record is being digitally matched with the 2002 SIR voter list.
